In KK preparations for polio campaign are underway and all required vaccines and supplies have been received. Malaria cases are closely monitored with partners.

As 30th July 2015, In Kakuma 4, 782 durable shelters were constructed for new arrivals and assessment of shelter needs is ongoing.

In KK activities to mark World breastfeeding week kicked off on 1st August and will run until 7th,including community sensitization/dialogue on breastfeeding

During the week in Kakuma, US Embassy Dep.Refugee Coordinator,distributed with UNHCR various equipment/footballs to support sport activities among refugees.

Team from "United for Africa", UNHCR fundraising partner in Germany, visited Kakuma from 31 August for one week to raise support/advocacy for Kenya refugees.

People Progress Foundation was in KK from 07-11 Sep.The NGO is affiliated to Canadian scholarship system and supports secondary education programs in Kenya.

From 16-19 Sep. Ed. Grode,board member of U.S. Committee for Refugees/Immigrants (USCRI), a U.S. resettlement and advocacy organization, was in KK on mission.

Finnish officials from MFA in Helsinki visited Kakuma on 09 October to familiarize with its humanitarian situation and development of the new site in Kalobeyei.

An Australian delegation from the city of Sterling visited Kakuma from 16 -19 Oct. Aim of mission was to fund-raise for education/community and youth projects.

UNHCR in collaboration with UNFPA & UN Women officially launched in KK the HeForShe campaign on 9 Nov. to raise awareness on inequality faced by women and girls
