Boko Haram: FG to strengthen security around IDPs camps

THE Federal Government has taken steps to strengthen security around all registered Internally Displaced Persons Camps in the country as a result of Boko Haram insurgency in the North East.
Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr Mohammed Bello Adoke, made this known while reacting to allegations of rape and child trafficking in IDP camps in Nigeria.
Adoke said the Federal Government viewed the allegations with serious concern.
A statement by Josiah Emerole, the Public Relations Officer of National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons and other Related Matters (NAPTIP), on Friday in Abuja, said the government had launched investigations into the allegations with a view to bringing those behind the acts to justice.
