UNHCR in collaboration with Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), and National Emergency Management Agency NEMA carry out registration at the border control points in the north east where initial imigration and security screening of the returnees is conducted.212,334 registered from Cameroon,146,744 from Niger and 400 from Chad. and 458 from other countries. 86% of the returnees were unregistered, 83% have destroyed/damaged properties, and 75% without food and water during their journey back to Nigeria.
