Balochistan opens a state-of-the-art public health facility providing free treatment to Pakistanis and Afghan refugee patients suffering from kidney disease

PESHAWAR, Saturday 8 September: The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi commended the charitable work of the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital saying providing free-of-cost treatment to underprivileged cancer patients is a noble act.

UNHCR Pakistan: All registered Afghans in possession of valid Proof of Registration (PoR) cards are informed that UNHCR’s facilitated voluntary repatriation process will be suspended from 1 December 2018 until 28 February 2019 due to the winter season.

Pakistan: Islamabad: As an active member of the COVID-19 Risk Communication and Community Engagement Task Force, the Office helped amplify government-approved messages on the prevention and response to the coronavirus among refugees.

Pakistan: Islamabad: UNHCR’s global coronavirus emergency appeal amounted to $255 million as of 31 March 2020. Of this amount, the requirements for Pakistan come to $5.7 million.
