    DDRA is formed and based on the understanding that Civil Society Organisations are well placed at the moment to participate and provide both humanitarian and development assistance to people victims of Natural and man-made disasters. However, Local or national organisations differ in their capability, capability and approach in delivering such work. Darfur Development and Reconstruction Agency (DRA) is however, luckily entrusted with an immense level of accumulated knowledge and expertise and is ready to share it or put it to a good use. Within DRA, there are more than 25 members who have practical and professional experience of humanitarian and development work which was obtained from work both at the local and the international levels. These members, with their current level of expertise, are available for the organisation to plan, deliver and monitor such work.
