UNHCR News, 17 Dec 2018
As part of the activities that took place in Ecuador to commemorate Migrant International Day, the Foreign Ministry of Ecuador, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) supported the "Concert Without Borders", organized by the Orquesta Joven del Ecuador on the northern border of the country.
The concert showed that integration between refugees and migrants from Colombia and Venezuela together with Ecuadorian citizens is possible through music. The orchestra, made up of young people of different nationalities, decided to create an entertainment space to alleviate the difficult journey and welcome refugees and migrants, mostly from Venezuela, who arrived in Rumichaca.
