2nd Mon Political Conference to be held in the first week of May

The Second Mon Political Conference will be convened in the first week of May to obtain approval for the constitution of the Mon national representative party.
During a public conference of the Mon National Party Implementation Group held in Inn Din Village on March 30, Nai Ta La Nyi said: “Arrangements have been made to hold the Second Mon Political Conference in the first week of May.”
The previous Mon Political Conference set down a three-month time frame to draft the constitution and letters have been sent to Mon political parties to invite them to join the implementation of the Mon national representative party.
The 21-member implementation group and 19-member supervisory group were established during the First Mon Political Conference to establish the Mon national representative political party.
The First Mon Political Conference was held at the Sasana 2500 Building in Taung Yoe Tan, Mawlamyine on January 13-14.
