As of the end of April 2021, the Population of Refugees in South Sudan was at 317, 608 individuals (68,178 Households) while that of Asylum Seekers was at 3,863 individuals (3,072 Households) with a total of 321,471 individuals consisting of 71,251 households spread in 21 different locations across South Sudan. Refugees 52% of the refugees are female. Women and children represent 81% of the total refugee population. The Sudanese refugee population remains the largest at 293,913 individuals (92.5%), followed by DRC Congo 16,821 individuals (5.3%), Ethiopia 4,255 individuals (1.3%), Central African Republic 2,244 individuals (0.7%), and 371(0.1%) individuals from other nationalities. 3% of the entire Refugees aged 60 and above, 37% is between the ages of 18 – 59, 18% are aged between 12 and 17 years of age while 60% of the refugee population is below the age of 18.
