The CCCM partner in Hargeisa conducted safety audits in all 16 IDP sites in the city. Site observations, key informant interview and FGD with women and girls were done to understand the risks faced by residents in the sites. The findings of the audit were then presented at a GBV safety audit workshop which was attended by NDRA representatives, NGO partners and women leaders from the IDP camps in Hargeisa. Participants discussed concrete ways to reduce GBV risks and vulnerabilities in the sites, ways to address GBV safety audit recommendations and created a shared action plan for risk mitigation in the sites.
