Working Group Description

The Education group works on guarantying the access and permanence to the education system of migrant children and adolescents and those of host communities. Complementing the institutional response at the head of the Ministry of Education, educational institutions have focused on the most affected areas, with high vulnerability and enrollment of migrant children and adolescents in which both formal and informal educational activities are carried out. Prioritized actions focus on three lines: 1. Strengthen flexible education models and implement formal education strategies that facilitate children’s access to educational services when conditions and contexts make it difficult for them to be included in regular education (for each educational model, pedagogical practice and the learning process is flexible and organized according to the child’s situation). 2. Support pedagogical and psychosocial strategies and strengthen both teacher capacities and direct assistance to the socio-emotional recovery of children. 3. Ensure the delivery of supplies, improve infrastructure, and implementation of temporary educational spaces.
